Under a $3-billion EPCI contract, Saipem will engineer, procure, install, and commission two converted turret-moored FPSOs. Additionally Saipem has a seven-year contract valued at around $1 billion to operate and maintain the vessels.
Both will have an oil treatment capacity of 115,000 b/d, water injection capacity of 200,000 b/d, a gas compression capacity of 100 MMcf/d (2.8 MMcm/d), and storage for up to 1.7 MMbbl of oil.
Saipem’s scope includes fabrication and integration of the topsides, installation of the mooring systems, and hook-up, commissioning, and operations start-up.
The company’s Floaters Business Unit in France will manage the overall program, with some of the engineering, procurement, topsides modules fabrication, and integration and commissioning performed in Angola.
Saipem’s Karimun Island yard in Indonesia will handle the main topsides fabrication, with a shipyard in the Far East to handle conversion of the tankers and the topsides modules integration.
The first FPSO is expected to be operational by 1Q 2017 and the second by 2Q 2017
The topsides fabrication activities will be undertaken in Saipem's Karimun Island Kepri Indonesia
